I am a Security Architect from Hyderabad, India. I work at a Cyber Security Firm called SecurDI
For the last 12 years, I have been helping clients with Identity Security and DevOps. I am also an experienced people manger invested in building and enabling teams to deliver their best and build their careers.
When I am not “working”, I design, make music and build websites. My fascination with the web started long ago; I’ve been designing sites for nearly two decades. That love for “building things yourself” extends to my obsession with Linux and self-hosting—if there’s a way to host it myself, I’ve probably tried it. You might notice that a lot of my posts are usually about this.
I am also an ardent music lover and an “initially-trained-later-self-taught” musician. I make some tunes every now and then!

Design, Development & Programming
An engineer in love with craft
Ever since I was a kid, I was always fascinated by the concept of "using both sides of one's brain" — the analytical engineer and the creative maker.
I strive for that in everything I do. That is the work that gives me the most satisfaction. I build things end to end — full-stack web applications from front-end to back-end, the graphic design and branding around them, and original music. It's all the same instinct: a deep love for making things from scratch, whether the medium is code, pixels, or sound.

Identity Security
A trusted advisor in identity security
If building is what I love most, identity security is my bread and butter — and the most important thing I do for the enterprises I work with. Twelve years architecting Access Management and Identity Governance across retail, finance, insurance, and aviation — federation and single sign-on, lifecycle automation, access certifications, and large-scale directory migrations.

Linux, Open-source & Infrastructure
A sysadmin obsessed with linux
I love to sit in front of 3 monitors looking at terminals and dashbaords. And somewhow, my obsession always ties back to Linux—the ultimate workshop for a restless mind. Give me a flickering terminal and a bare-metal server, and I see an ecosystem waiting to be built. From there, it is all about source control, pipelines, deployments, monitoring, all that good stuff.

How I Use AI
I work with AI, not around it.
AI is woven through everything above — here's the thinking that guides how I use it.
An enabler, not a replacement
Put to the right use and in the right hands, AI makes things better, not worse. I treat it as a tool that amplifies my work — never one that does the thinking for me.
A cure for my perfectionism
I am a bit of a perfectionist, and AI helps me get past the intricate details and actually ship — a genuine force multiplier across the craft, the code, and the infrastructure.
Used with respect
I value privacy, and I never lean on AI to lift other people's art or music. I use it only to sharpen and extend work that is already my own.
Always a human in the loop
This webpage is the best example: I wrote all the content. Designed the initial layout. AI refined the layout and fixed outlier use-cases. Technically I used AI, but it took my own effort to shape the idea beforehand and refine the result afterwards.
Let's build something together.
Whether it's an identity programme, the infrastructure to run it, or something you simply want made well — I'd love to hear about it and help you out with it. Just reach out to me at maruthisharma@live.in.
